I’ve been wanting to refresh my personal brand for ages, but I wanted to make sure it actually represented who I am as a designer now — not who I was a few years ago.
The new mark draws from Welsh heritage, but in a subtle way. I didn’t want to go straight for the dragon, so I explored other national symbols and patterns that felt more timeless. The final logo is inspired by the Celtic cross — a nod to both tradition and balance. Its structure gave me a way to play with geometry, symmetry, and negative space while keeping the design bold and minimal.
I kept the palette stripped back to white and dark grey, partly because it lets the form do the talking, and partly because I wanted something that feels professional enough for corporate work but still has an edge for sports branding.
